Dementia is the leading cause of death in England and Wales. One in six people over the age of 80 have dementia, and by 2025 there will be more than one million people with dementia in the UK.
The move to integrated ways of working through integrated care systems (ICSs) and primary care networks (PCNs), and other commitments in the NHS long-term plan around personalised care, provide opportunities to meet this growing need and improve support for people affected by dementia.
This one-day event, run in partnership with Alzheimer’s Society, will explore this in detail.
