A series of song-journeys geared towards people living with dementia that invite you (the care-giver) and your music-partner (individual with dementia) to play, sing, or simply listen-along with me as I take popular tunes on a trip through a tapestry of sounds to promote wellbeing and happiness.
Music has been proven to reduce the stress, anxiety and depression that often present in dementia patients. The main aim of this series is to create opportunities for joy and help individuals feel more in control and connected to positive emotions, memories and their social environment.
These videos are most effective when you, the care-giver, can support your music-partner to play any available musical instruments and share in the general sense of fun and occasion!
